Fair Value Gap Entry Strategy
Enter on retracement into a fair value gap (imbalance) with trend filter. Size gaps with minGapPct and expire stale gaps with maxAgeBars.
What is Fair Value Gap Entry?
FVG forms when a middle candle leaves a gap between wicks of adjacent candles. Enter on partial or full fill of the gap in trend direction; trendFilter (e.g. EMA or HTF bias) avoids counter-trend fades. minGapPct filters noise; maxAgeBars retires old gaps. Aligns with ICT-style playbooks. VaultCharts pattern recognition assists gap spotting — educational content only, not a committed FVG bot.
